Description

NOTICE OF INTENT: The Northern Region Contracting Center (NRCC) intends to negotiate and award a sole-source contract to Cross Match Technologies, Inc. to provide the Army with a proof of concept design to replace the current state of the science f or fingerprint recognition devices with an a technology that includes a benchmark model which is reduced in size (portable), with greater ruggedness, and captures higher quality images over a wider range of environmental conditions. The Government's goal is to meet FBI standard/specification Automated Fingerprint Identification System Image Quality Specification. The designated NAIC Code is 334119, Other Computer Peripheral Equipment Manufacturing (1,000 employees) for this effort. Cross Match Technol ogies, Inc. is classified as a small business for this NAICS code. In accordance with 10 U.S.C. 2304(c and FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements.
