Synopsis Communication Tower Replacement/Relocation and Site Repairs for US Customs & Border Patrol Highway 86 Checkpoint, 3900 W. Highway 86, Westmoreland, CA 92281 (Solicitation No. W9126G-06-T-0240) NAICS: 334220, SIC: 1623, Primary POC: Jean Ross /817-886-1165, Secondary POC: Linda Eadie/817-886-1085, Solicitation Number: W9126G-06-T-0240, Archive Date: December 31, 2006. This notice serves as a synopsis for the upcoming commercial solicitation, number W9126G-06-T-0240, for the Communication Tower Replacement/Relocation and Site Repairs for US Customs & Border Patrol Highway 86 Checkpoint, 3900 W. Highway 86, Westmoreland, CA 92281. This is for a design-build contract that requires the Contractor to provide the Government with a complete, function al communication site upon completion. The Contractor shall remove and dispose of an existing eighty feet (80), three leg, free standing, Rohn tower, and replace with a new eighty feet (80), solid leg, free standing communications tower on a new concr ete foundation. The new tower shall be located forty feet (40) to the east of the existing tower location (exact location to be confirmed by the Government in the field). The Contractor shall install and reconnect all existing electronic equipment and a ntenna and provide new cable as needed for reinstallation. All work shall be completed in accordance with applicable codes and regulations. The POC for this work after Notice To Proceed (NTP) is: Robert Nelson, Facilities Manager, US Customs & Border Pa trol, (760) 337-7172 (Desk), (760) 996-6048 (Cell). The proposed contract type is firm-fixed priced. The price will be the only factor in the evaluation of offers, the final contract award will be based on Lowest Price Technically Acceptable (LPTA). To b e considered for award the offeror, its products and services, must meet the qualification requirements as listed in the forthcoming solicitation in order to be eligible for award. The Request for Quote (RFQ) shall be available on September 22, 2006. The anticipated award date is on or about September 29, 2006. The solicitation will only available for download via the Federal Business Opportunities (www.fedbizopps.gov) website and Federal Technical Data System (https://www.fedteds.gov/) The NAICS is 33422 0, and the Business Size Standard is 750 employee. The acquisition is being solicited set aside 100% for small business. Those who wish to express and interest in the solicitation may submit their information to Ms. Jean K.
