- Description
- The Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command (SPAWAR), Navy Portable Radios Program Office, PMW-170, intends to negotiate a sole source contract with Thales Communications, Inc, 1880 22605 Gateway Center Dr, Clarksburg, MD 20871-2001. This contract procures an estimated 323 AN/PRC-148 radios via a Firm Fixed Price (FFP), Indefinite Delivery Indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract. The contract will have a one year base with 4 option periods. The Portable Radios Program is designed to procure, field, and support hand held, and base station radios that fulfill the Navy Ground Force (NGF), Multi-Band Inter/Intra Team Radios (MBITR), requirements. The contractor will be required to demonstrate efforts to provide subcontracting opportunities for Small Business (SB), Small Disadvantaged Business (SDB), Woman Owned Small Business (WOSB), Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) and Historically Underutilized Business Zone (HUB Zone) and other SB concerns. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this requirement is 334220. The solicitation will be issued without further notice and will be available at the SPAWAR E-Commerce Central website.
