Description

SCOPE OF REQUIREMENT: The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) requires guest rooms, meeting rooms, and hotel services of a qualified hotel for OCC?s Consumer Complaint Conference to be held in October or November 2007 in downtown Houston, TX. This is a two and a half-day conference. The estimated maximum number of guest rooms per night is 90. The program may consist of a general session on two and a half days for 125; four concurrent sessions for about 35 each on one day; one or two luncheons; and a number of refreshment breaks. MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS: The hotel must 1) be compliant with the Hotel and Motel Fire Safety Act of 1990, 15 U.S.C. 2201 et seq, (Public Law 101-391) and hold a FEMA certification number; 2) be compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act, 42 U.S.C. Section 12101 et seq. (ADA); and 3) have one of the following ratings: First class or higher per the Hotel & Travel Index; three diamonds or higher per AAA; three crowns or higher per the OAG Business Travel Planner. HOW TO ACQUIRE A COPY OF THE SOLICITATION: The OCC anticipates issuing the solicitation at this web site in Sept/Oct 2006. The solicitation document will contain the conference requirements, the instructions for submitting a quote, and how the quotes will be evaluated. This is NOT a small business set-aside. It is a full and open competition using simplified acquisition procedures. All responsible vendors may submit a quote that will be considered by the OCC. OCC anticipates awarding the contract in November 2006. *****
