Description

The Naval Air Systems Command at Patuxent River, MD intends to negotiate and award a level of effort, time and materials order to incorporate the H-46 Support Equipment Change (SEC) 5160 hoist modification into the Boeing Drawing configuration for future spares procurements and to provide a Drawing Change Notice (DCN) to NAVICP identifying the new end item assembly. NAVAIR released SEC 5160 to the H-46 Fleet to incorporate a welded adapter in accordance with NAVAIR Engineering Change Proposal (ECP) Number 622-8-9 and NAVAIR Support Equipment CCB Number 905-041. The H-46 Winch Assembly is used to raise and lower the aft transmission. This effort will be procured under Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA), N00019-05-G-0012. The proposed order will be awarded on a sole source basis to The Boeing Company, Boeing Helicopters, Ridley Park, PA. The authority permitting other than full and open competition is Title 10, U.S. Code, Section 2304(c) (1) as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The estimated period of performance for this effort is 28 August 2006 through 30 March 2007 and the work will be performed at Boeing Helicopters in Ridley Park, PA. See numbered note 22.
