Description: We intend to award a sole source contract to BBN Technologies Corp., 10 Moulton Street, Cambridge, MA 02138 for the procurement of 106 Boomerang generation II systems. BBN Technologies Corp. is the manufacturer of these systems. The systems are cur rently being used in theater by the U.S. Military to detect small arms fire targeting U.S. Military vehicles. The procurement of these additional units will maintain current operability and compatibility. A firm fixed price commercial contract will be i ssued. Any responses to this synopsis must be sent to Daniel Balizan by 25 September 2006. See Note 22.
