Description

NOTICE OF INTENT TO ISSUE A SOLE SOURCE PURCHASE ORDER. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. There is no solicitation number, for reference use PR Number W26MT9-6257-2005. NGIC is soliciting a sole source commercial-item p urchase order (under FAR Parts 12 and 13.5) with Research Sytems, INC, DBA ITT Visual Information Solutions, Boulder, CO. , proposed acquisition is items for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR Part 13.106-1 and 10 U.S.C. 2304(c) (1) FAR 6.302-1. This action is for the purchase of licenses and maintenance for ENVI+IDL (quantity of 3 each), ENVI NITF (quantity of 3 each) and ENVI FLAASH (quantity of 3 each) software to be deivery to 2055 Boul der Road, Charlottesville, VA 22911-8318. This solicitation document incorporates provisions and clauses that are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-04. The provision at FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors  Commercial, applies to this acquisition. All quo tations (with capability statements) received within 2 days (27 Sep,4:00 p.m.) of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government; however, a determination by the Government not to compete this proposed purchase order based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
