This FEDERAL BUSINESS OPPORTUNITY announcement is a notice that TRICARE Southeast, which includes all DoD (Army, Air Force, Navy) Medical Treatment Fa cilities (MTFs) in Alabama, Georgia, Florida, Mississippi, Tennessee and South Carolina are in the process of standardizing Safety Needles and Syringe Products as listed in the subject line above. Companies who currently possess or are in the process of o btaining a Distribution and Pricing Agreements (DAPAs) with the Defense Supply Center, Philadelphia (DSCP) for this product are eligible to participate in the standardization process. For additional information on obtaining a DAPA, you may call DSCP at (2 15) 737-8740. Base company criteria for this product Line: Safety Needles and Syringe Products includes but is not limited to the following: must carry a FULL LINE of Safety Needles & Syringes, must provide customer support in the form of a sales representative for eac h MTF within the TRICARE Southeast Region, must provide clinical support, education programs, utilization reports, must provide companys return policy, must provide companys distribution network, must be able to provide product for all MTFs within the TR ICARE Southeast Region, must provide volume discounts, must provide electronic and hard-copy of proposed pricing and competitive product cross-reference. Must be able to provide representatives and product for vendor demonstrations at no charge to the gov ernment and conduct product in-services for medical treatment facilities as needed. Must have or be in the process of obtaining a DAPA Number before the evaluation phase begins. Base technical criteria for this product line: Provide your Company Name, Point of contact, email address, and phone number and address. Identify if your company is a manufacturer or distributor of Safety Needles and Syringe Products? Under what name brands? Does your companies manufacture or distribute a full product line of Safety Needles and Syringe Products to include, but not limited to those used for intramuscular, subcutaneous injections and includes disposable syringes (Syringe & Needle), needles with needle guards for attachment to syringes, all sizes, filter needles, attached & separate from syringes. List all of your companys needles, types, syringes and products. Does your company have a DAPA number? If so what is it? If your company does not have a DAPA number, provide date applied for. Can you currently distribute through the Prime Vendor, Owens & Minor? If not, provide date applied for. Under what standards are your products manufactured Is your product latex free? What type of Packaging Features do you include? For example: Expiration date visible where? Lot Number? Shelf Life in Years? Color coded by size? Length of time product has been on the market? Does your company have the ability to service the entire Region? What is the return goods policy? Are there, or had there been any safety alerts for your products? If so, please provide data. What testing was performed to support the efficacy of your products? Any history of backorders and/or recalls for this product group? If yes, please list dates and duration length, cause, and resolution. Do you offer clinical support for each Medical Treatment Facility? Customer service Numbers? Name of Product representatives for each account upon request? What types of educational tools/materials do you have for the product line? What specific safety features do your products have? (Barriers between hands & Needles, is a fixed safety feature that is part of the device? Engages with one-handed activation, activated before disassembly, remains protective through disposal?) Provide your (1) company name, (2) address, (3) point of contact, (4) telephone number, (5) fax number, (6) e-mail address, and (7) your DAPA number for the product(s)/product line(s) being offered, (8) and answers to Floria Jones (706) 787-2094; floria.jones@amedd.army.mil.
