Description
The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, Lakehurst, NJ (NAWCADLKE) intends to negotiate a Sole-Source Firm Fixed Price contract for the procurement of 4 each, Borescope Defect Measurement Groups (BDMG) to be used on the V-22 aircraft. The supplier of this product is Olympus Surgical Industrial America. This part is identified as P/N V22SCKIT, SERD 7235, and NIIN 01-511-7837: This Borescope Defect Measurement Group (BDMG) can be used with any Olympus Borescope and light source. It will quickly and accurately measure the size of a defect or damage and record both Audio and Visual inspection results. All components of the BDMG are stored and transported in one transit case, assembled by Olympus before shipping. The individual components of the BDMG, all from Olympus Industrial, Inc., are as follows: (1) P/n 1267OTC, model OTC6N, a ?C? Mount Video Camera; (2) P/n 6333, model A1-4C, ?C? Mount Adapter for Olympus 4mm Fiberscope; (3) P/n 1267GDBD, model IV-6A, Camera Control Unit; (4) P/n 4572B, model OVD-2, 6? LCD Monitor w/ Cable; (5) P/n 1267GDB, model OTC-6N3 meter cable; (6) P/n 7017, model ILH-1 System case; (7) P/n 1375FA, model APS-12-150, Power Supply; (8) P/n 4557A, model DSM-1, Digital Store and Measure system; (9) P/n 4900, Image Exchange Software. The key to this requirement group is that it is 100% compatible with the Olympus 1F4D5-15 and 1F4S5 -15 borescopes. The contractor shall supply all labor, equipment and consumable supplies to manufacture in its entirety. This requirement is for supplies for which the Government does not own specifications or drawings to permit full and open competition. The Government intends to procure from Olympus Surgical Industrial America (OSIA) under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c) (1), implemented by FAR 6.302-1. OSIA is the only company with requisite knowledge and technical capability to manufacture the parts. Firms that recognize and produce the required item described are encouraged to identify themselves. All responsible sources may submit a proposal, which may be considered by the Government in determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. All requests must be received within 15 days. Responses should reference N68335-00-T-0046 and be submitted on or about 11 OCT 2006. All contractors seeking award must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database. Contracts cannot be awarded to contractors unless they are registered.
