- Description
- The United States Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) intends to negotiate a sole source, five-year (with an option to extend the period of performance an additional five-years) Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract to Harris Corporation, RF Communication Division, 1680 University Ave., Rochester, NY 14610-9983 for the procurement and sustainment of Improved Special Operations Forces (SOF) High Frequency (HF) Manpack Radio Systems (ISHMRS). The proposed new contract will have a maximum ceiling of $422M, including the option period. ISHMRS is identified as two distinct radios: AN/PRC-150(C) and RF-5800H-MP. The contract also provides for the purchase of vehicle kits, COMSEC upgrade kits, ancillary equipment, spare parts, training, and associated logistics. The authority cited for this procurement is 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements.
