Description

U.S. Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) anticipates contracting with Honeywell International Inc., Defense and Space Electronic Systems, 2600 Ridgway Parkway, Minneapolis, MN 55413-1719 for the modification of an Automated Flight Control System (AFSC) Test Set, P/N 145G0009-1 to P/N 145G0009-2 used on the MH-47G aircraft fielded for USSOCOM. The proposed action is for an item that Honeywell International is the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) and the Government does not own specifications and drawings to permit full and open competition. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority FAR 6.302-1. Firms that feel they can provide this item or equal are encouraged to identify themselves. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposal, however, the Government will consider all proposals received by the specified due date (in accordance with FAR 5.203(a)). A determination by the Government not to compete this acquisition is solely within the discretion of the Government. The estimated release date of the solicitation is 2 October 2006.
