Description
QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS FROM SITE VISIT: 1. Will all the caulking be stripped and replaced with new caulking or spot repair existing caulking? All joints will be caulked but some areas will need spot repair if caulking is deteriorated. The top half of the tower is metal. 2. Will the glass windows need to squeegeed after pressure wash? Yes 3. Due to the use of heavy man lift equipment potential to cause depressions in the ground area around tower exist. Will it be the contractor?s responsibility to repair the depressions if they occur? Yes . There is no cracks in the concrete deck on the catwalk on the tower that need to be repaired 4. Is there a spec on the type of caulk you want used to seal the cracks? NO. But on the concrete there needs to be a caulk applied that will adhere to concrete and not slip or sag. If the caulk in the joint is deteriorated it needs to come out and be replaced. The top part of the tower is metal and all joints need to be caulked. The shops recommend a byutal caulk. 5. Is there a spec on the type of rust remover, inhibitor, etc. that you guys want used on the rust spots? No. 6. Do you guys want the tower cleaned all the way to the top, including windows? Yes, but special care needs to be taken to protect the windows from any damaged or they will need to be replaced.
