Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for a fixed-priced contract for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. The proposed contract is for loan services for the now defunct Section 312 loan program for which the Government is soliciting only one source, Lockheed Martin Government Services, under the authority of FAR 6.302. The contract will provide for Lockheed Martin Government Services to continue to maintain the Section 312 records already in its possession as a result of a previous contract and to use its unique knowledge of the files and the loan program to provide .25 man-year of staff time to answer questions and resolve issues for heirs and others using those files. A solicitation document will not be issued for this requirement and proposals are not being requested. The determination by the Government not to compete the contract based upon any responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. The contract, which will be issued for one year and four one-year options, will contain all clauses currently prescribed for contracts for commercial items by FAR Subpart 12.6 through FAR Circular 2005-12.
