Description
This Sources Sought Notice is issued to replace Presolicitation Notice W912SU06T0038 issued on 22 SEP 2006 The Northern Region Contracting Center (NRCC) is seeking information on sources that can provide the Army with the development of a tethered version of the Handheld Interagency Identity Detection Equipment (HIIDE(tm)). The HIIDE is a completely stand alone piece with an onboard CPU that does not require the use of a separate computer. The tethered device (HIIDE-T") would not be stand alone and would have to be tethered to a laptop or other computer of some type. The device would have to be integrated into t he Biometrics Automated Toolset (BAT). BAT integrates commercial off-the-shelf hardware and software into a biometric enrollment and data repository system. The BAT software currently integrates three biometrics measurements: facial recognition, iris reco gnition and fingerprint recognition. The Government's goal is to acquire a prototype (designed, developed and implemented) that will provide the three aforementioned biometric collection capabilities into a single device that is tethered to a Windows-bas ed personal computer via a USB cable. The designated NAIC Code is 334119 for this effort. Your response shall include the following: Size of company (i.e. 8(a), Hubzone, WOSB, SB, Veterans, all others), Your total revenue for the last three years, Past per formance on similar work dating back 5 years, your company's capabilities and innovative ideas to this type of work. Documentation of technical expertise and capability must be presented in sufficient detail for the Government to determine that your compa ny possess the necessary functional area expertise and experience to compete for this acquisition. The information should be sent to NRCC by 02 OCT 2006, ATTN: Ms. Clara Patterson, 2798 Harrison Loop Complex, Fort Eustis , VA 23604-5538 or by email: clara. patterson@us.army.mil.
