Description

This office intends to make a sole source award to Motorola, Inc. for the upgrade of 15 Motorola XTS 5000 portable radios to provide type 1 secure communications capability (includes UCM, type 1, AES and DES encryption algorithm). Rationale: Only one responsible source and no other supplies will satisfy agency requirements. This award will be made utilizing Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP). This notice constitutes the only notice. The government encourages all interested parties who believe they can meet this requirement to submit in writing, complete information describing their ability to provide said requirement. This information shall include at a minimum, pricing, technical literature, and a description of how it shall meet the governme nt's needs. Information received as a result of this notice will be considered for the sole purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. If not affirmative written responses are received by 4:00p.m.(CST), 27 Sep 2006, a sole sourc e purchase order shall be awarded to Motorola, Inc.
