- The Federal Bureau of Prisons, Field Acquisition Office in Grand Prairie, Texas intends to make multiple awards for the provision of Comprehensive Medical Services for inmates at the Federal Correctional Complex located in Butner, North Carolina. Each Lot will be individually evaluated for award and only one award will be made for each Lot. Offers may be submitted for single or multiple Lots. The Lots are as follows: Lot #1 - Institution-based diagnostic imaging services, Lot #2 - Institution-based radiation therapy services, Lot #3 - Institution-based renal dialysis services, Lot #4 - Institution-based neuro diagnostic services, Lot #5 - Institution-based non-physician medical staffing services, Lot #6 - Institution-based Physician Services, Community-Based Inpatient and Outpatient Physician Services, and Community-based Inpatient and Outpatient Facility Services. The contract(s) shall consist of a 12-month base period and four 12-month option periods for renewal. Due to the volume of information, quantities of services will be provided in the solicitation document. For services provided in the community, there is a restriction of 50 driving miles from FCC Butner for this solicitation/contract. The solicitation will be made available on or about October 2, 2006, and will be distributed solely through the General Services Administrations Federal Business Opportunities website at http://www.fedbizopps.gov/. Hard copies of the solicitation will not be available. The site provides downloading instructions. All future information regarding this acquisition, including solicitation amendments, will also be distributed solely through this site. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring this site to ensure that they have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition. The anticipated date for receipt of proposals is December 1, 2006. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which will be considered. Faith-based and Community-based organizations can submit offers equally with other organizations for contracts for which they are eligible.
