Item 0001 NSN: 2840-01-496-6280RV, P/N: 819807. Item Description: STRUT ASSEMBLY OF TURBINE EXHAUST. MADE OF 410 STAINLESS STEEL. CENTER HEAT SHIELD WITH FIVE ATTACHED STRUTS. FUNCTION: TO SUPPORT THE #6 BEARING HOUSING AND THE AFT END OF THE LOW PRESSURE TURBINE ROTOR. DIMENSIONS APPROX. 16 INCHES IN HEIGHT AND 32 INCHES IN DIAMETER AT THE END OF THE STRUTS. Applicable to: TF33 Engine Delivery: 31 October 2007 Quantity: Min 3, Max 6 New Material Solicited. The approximate issue date of the solicitation will be 11 October 2006. The approximate response date of the solicitation will be 13 November 2006. The anticipated award date will be 31 December 2006. No telephone requests. Hardcopies of the solicitation will not be sent from this office. The solicitation will be available for download only at www.fbo.gov. However, at this time it is anticipated that this will be sole-sourced to United Technologies. Qualification Requirements: Sources must be qualified prior to being considered for award. Award will be made only if the offeror, the product/service, or the manufacturer meets qualification requirements at the time of award in accordance with FAR clause 52.209-1. Note: While price will be a significant factor in the evaluation of offers, the final contract award decision may be based upon a combination of price and past performance factors as detailed in the solicitation. Note: An Ombudsman has been appointed to hear concerns from offerors or potential Offerors during the proposal development phase of this acquisition. The purpose of the Ombudsman is not to diminish the authority of the program director or contracting officer, but to communicate contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate government personnel. When requested, the Ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to source of the concern. The Ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposals or in the source selection process.
