- This is a Sources Sought Synopsis. This synopsis neither constitutes a Request for Proposal, nor does it restrict the Government to an ultimate acquisition approach. This synopsis should not be construed as a commitment by the Government for any pu rpose. Requests for a solicitation will not receive a response. This Sources Sought Synopsis is in support of a market survey being conducted by the St. Louis District, Corps of Engineers to identify sources with demonstrated capabilities and experience for repairs to a Cascade #48AP, Line-Shaft Axial Flow Pump designed to operate at a speed of 500 Rotations per Minute (RPM). The pump is designed to pump 48,000 Gallons per Minute (GPM) at 16.3 feet. Repair experience should include line shaft pumps, aux iliary equipment, bearing and shaft replacement, impeller/propeller repairs, enclosing tube replacement, repair of flange fits, column pipe repair/replacement, and static/dynamic balancing of rotating elements. Request documented repair experience of axia l/mixed flow line shaft pumps. Request approximate number of axial flow/mixed flow pump repairs in the size range of 30 inch 48 inch for the Corps of Engineers or other organizations. State if you have trained erection engineers who are knowledgeable in pump installation. Provide business size and a Point of Contact. Any information submitted by respondents to this synopsis is strictly voluntary. The Government will not pay for any information that is submitted by respondents to this Sources Sought Synopsis.
