- Description
- Open Connect Visual 3270 software to include; one COM Developer Seaqt (P/N VIS3270-VB), one Transaction Server License with maximum of fifty concurrent transactions (P/N VIS3270-VB), one Test/Development Environment (P/N VIS3270-VB), ten Client Licenses, and one annual maintenance support for one year. Technical support shall include 24 hours 7 days access. Maintenance shall include upgrades to latest product releases and T-Fixes. This is intended as a sole source to Open Connect Systems Inc., however, any interested parties should contact the GSA Contracting Officer, Cindy Cwiklinski, 817-978-0662, cindy.cwiklinski@gsa.gov, if they can comply with the Bill of Material Requirements. Salient characteristics of Visual 3270: - Adds powerful mainframe access and emulation capabilities to existing development language. - Obscure screen elements converts into graphically intuitive Web-like front ends using point and click functionality. - Ability to develop in preferred language and add host connectivity to existing and future applications by dragging and dropping a component into the application. - Works in a variety of programming tools through native components such as AxtiveX or COM. Programming tools supported include: Delphi (VCL), C++Builder (VCL), Visual C++(ActiveX/COM), Visual Basic (ActiveX/COM), Active Server Pages (COM, Visual C#.NET. - Provides administrators with easy-to-use, cost effective emulators that work in, Windows (95, 98, NT4, 2000, ME, XP) and Internet Explorer. - Allows developers to implement an emulation solution within their project, and allows development and integrates emulation components using native programming language. - Provides developers with powerful host access and emulation tools that enable mainframe, midrange, Client/Server, Internet and other applications to function in an integrated environment. Components plug into existing development tools and natively integrate with both Java and non-Java environments. Turns any application into a mainframe application. - Allows developers and administrators to rapidly provide TN3270 emulation in any application. Shall be available as full features components that can be ?plugged? into a wide variety of development tools, or as emulation software for multiple platforms, OC Visual 3270 fives enterprises the flexibility to meet the needs of their customers, employees, partners and vendors. - Allows immediate productivity using the chosen development language. Makes mainframe applications available to Web users by adding OC Visual 3270 to existing applications or Web applications. - Component Based Development consists of native components for C++Builder and Delphi with ActiveX and COM components for Visual Basic, Visual C++, and any other ActiveX container. - Secure Communication and Mainframe or AS/400 ? All products include SSL cryptography to provide extra security. OC Visual SSL allows developers to create SSL encrypted communications using the OpenSSL Library and their own development environment. - Capable of using 128 bit encryption technology. - Can be used in programming language of choice. Provides ActiveX and VSL controls to find right fit. - Connect .Net Servers, Application Servers, AS/400?s, S/390?s and other host devices into one application, including SSL with e-Commerce capabilities. - Reformat data into Excel, xBase, Oracle, etc. in real time. - At a minimum, items include LU1, LU3 printers, IND$FILE, SSH@, SSH#, VT100, SSL/TLS, SOCKS/Proxy, colors keymaps, crosshair cursors, function buttons, scripting, and macros. - Includes visual controls that represent the Emulation and Non-Visual controls that represent the Screen Scraping capabilities of OC Visual 3270. Includes non-SSL and SSL enables controls depending on your organization (Non-SSL controls are thinner). - Includes a complete guide to certificate management, providing tools needed to create and distribute certificates and keys. - Allows for application written with OC Visual 3270 for Visual Basic are ActiveX ready and COM compliant. - Able to handle any number of events that may be present and reduces errors and exceptions, allowing developers to create international applications by modifying every aspect of user interface events as they are fired. - Completely Native TCP/IP Functions and Algorithms ? All TCP/IP functions and connectivity are written in Object Pascal and C++, OC Visual 3270 is free of any 3rd party components and controls. Delivery: 30 days after receipt of order.
