Description

THIS AMENDMENT IS BEING ESTABLISHED TO CHANGE THE NAICS CODE FROM 334611 TO 511210. The U.S. Department of Homeland Security, National Acquistion Center, Customs and Border Protection (CBP) intends to negotiate a Sole Source, Firm-Fixed Price, Commercial type contract with METRON-ATHENE, Inc., Woodland Hills, CA 91367 in accordance with FAR 6.302. The software being procured is known as Windows Acquires Software to enhance the performance of existing Metron-Athene software to extract existing data from the software previously purchased by CBP. Multiple awards are not being sought. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulations, Subpart 12.6 ? Streamlined Procedures for Evaluation and Solicitation for Commercial Items ? as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. THIS ANNOUNCEMENT IS THE ONLY SOLICITATION ? QUOTES ARE NOT BEING REQUESTED, AND A WRITTEN SOLICITATION DOCUMENT WILL NOT BE ISSUED. NO OTHER OFFERS WILL BE ACCEPTED AS THIS EQUIPMENT MUST BE THE SAME AS OTHER LABORATORIES WITHIN CBP. THIS PROPOSED CONTRACT ACTION WILL BE WITHIN THE SIMPLIFIED ACQUISITION PROCEDURES OF $25,000.00 TO $100,000.00 OPEN MARKET. NOTE: THIS NOTICE WAS NOT POSTED TO FEDBIZOPPS ON THE DATE INDICATED IN THE NOTICE ITSELF (27-SEP-2006); HOWEVER, IT DID APPEAR IN THE FEDBIZOPPS FTP FEED ON THIS DATE.
