Description
THIS IS A NOTICE OF CONTRACT ACTION (NOCA): The 412th Test Wing, Edwards AFB intends to solicit and award a sole source, firm fixed price contract to Applied Systems Engineering, Inc., PO Box 122987, Fort Worth, TX 76121. This acquisition shall acquire three Model 37 X/Ku 6.0 to 18.0 GHz., Dual Mode Traveling Wave Tube Amplifier. Part Number 59303-1. This requirement is for this specific type of amplifier stated above. Any qualified and interested companies responding to this announcement must be able to provide a statement of capabilities that they ca support this particular requirement. The Government is seeking only qualified sources interested in providing the items identified above. Below are the required specifications needed. All aspects listed below must be met to be valid for this requirement. Frequency: 6.0 to 18.0 GHz Output Power: +48.5 dBm (70W), Minimum Output Power Flatness: +1.0 dB at Saturation RF Gain at Saturation: 49 dB, Minimum, Gain Flatness +2 dB Small Signal Gain: 55 dB, Minimum, Gain Flatness +4 dB Noise Power Density: Broadband: +19 dBm, Maximum Per MHZ: -22 dBm/MHZ, Maximum Harmonics: -3 dBc, Maximum RF Output Connector: WRD-650 Flange Gain Variuation, Fine Grain: + 2 dB Maximum, Peak to adjacent valley over the specified frequency range at constant temp. and RF input power within -40 dB of the specified RF output power. Garin Stability: 0.1 dB, pulse-to-pulse, Maximum Phase Stability: +1.0 Degree, peak-to-peak, Maximum PRF Range: 0 to 1 MHZ Pulse Width Range: 50 nanoseconds to CW VSWR, Input/Output: 2.0 to 1.0, Maximum Load VSWR: 2,7 to 1.0, Full Power Load VSWR: 3.0:0, Maximum Spurious Signals: -50 dBc, Maximum Noise Power (Beam Off): -100 dBm/MHZ Primary Power: 187/229 VAC +10% 47 to 63 Hz, 1200 Watts, Maximum, Removable Power Cord, IEC 320 RF Sample Port: -30 dBc, Typical Rear Mounted SMA, Female Calibration data to be supplied Detected RF Output Port: 1.5 V, 75 ohms at full power Rear mounted BNC Output Rise and Fall Time/Pulsed RF Input Rise and Fall Times: Within 5 nanoseconds of one another Output Rise and Fall Time with CW RF Input: 15 nanoseconds, Maximum Time Delay, Leading Edge of Input Pulse to RF Output Pulse: 500 nanoseconds, Maximum Time Delay, Trailing Edge Pulse: 50 nanoseconds, Maximum of Input Pulse to RF Output Delay Variation Unit-to-Unit: 25 nanoseconds, Maximum Duty Cycle: CW Remote Control Functions: Power On/Off, Operate, Standby, Fault Reset Remote Control: IEEE-488 Standard 19? rack mount Chassis 8.75? high, 26.25? deep with provisions for slides. Contractors interested in this requirement should submit a complete technical package, which provides clear and convincing evidence that they can meet the Government?s requirement. In addition, the response should include any special requirements for a commercial contract (i.e., Commercial Financing, Warranty Provisions, Delivery Information, etc.) in accordance with FAR Part 12. Responses shall be limited to 15 pages and should include, as a minimum, (1) evidence of past experience; (2) related projects and/or existing systems, etc; and (3) business size as described above. Anticipated Award date is 30 Sep 06. Responses must be received no later than (NLT) 4:00 p.m., Pacific Standard Time on the posted close date. However, the Government will consider all responses received before the due date published in this notice. A determination by the Government not to compete this acquisition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. It is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government. The Government does not intend to pay for any information provided under this synopsis. All respondents are reminded of the required Central Contractor Registration (CCR) requirement to be considered eligible for any potential Department of Defense contracts.
