Description
FY06 MCA PN57197 Battle Area Complex AND FY06 PN57414 Tactical Vehicle Wash Facility, Pohakuloa Training Area, Island of Hawaii, Hawaii. Construction project includes a new Battle Area Complex (BAX) to be constructed over existing training areas at the Pohakuloa Training Area (PTA) on the island of Hawaii. The BAX will support gunnery qualifications and weapons systems employed by the Stryker Brigade Combat Team (SBCT) and the Legacy Brigade of the 25th Infantry Division (Light). The BAX will suppo rt mounted and dismounted infantry platoon tactical live fire operations either independently of, or simultaneously with supporting tactical vehicles. The targets on the range are fully automated and the event specific targets scenario is computer driven and scored from the Range Operations Center. FY06 PN57414 Tactical Vehicle Wash Facility (TVWF) Construction project includes multiple wash sections. The primary facility will consist of the preparation area and wash stations. The wash stations will util ize a high-pressure wash system and will recycle water to minimize wastewater disposal. The water to be treated will include oil and grease removal, grit removal, and organic control. A structure will be provided to house the mechanical secondary treatme nt units and the control panels necessary for the facility. a. The estimated cost of the project is between $25 Million and $100Million. Selection will be based upon the Lowest Priced Technically Acceptable evaluation method and may utilize the followin g evaluation factors: (a) Experience, (b) Past Performance, (c) Small Business Program, and (d) Price. Traditional hard copies of plans and specifications will NOT be available for this project, but will be available for viewing and/or downloading via the Honolulu District Contracting Website on or about 12 October 2006 at http://www.poh.usace.army.mil/CT/CT.htm. Contractors must be registered in FedTeDS to view/download plans and specifications. A link to FedTeDS can be found at https://ecs.usace.army.mil /. Solicitation documents will NOT be issued on CD-ROM format unless the Government determines that it is necessary. If the Government determines that issuance of the initial solicitation on CD-ROM is necessary, the CD-ROM will be provided at no cost to se lf-registered contractors at the website mentioned above. However, the Government reserves the right to issue follow-on amendments to the solicitation on the website. It is therefore the contractors responsibility to check the Honolulu District Contractin g Website daily for any posted changes to the solicitation. All offerors are encouraged to visit the Armys Single Face to Industry Website at: https://acquisition.army.mil/asfi to view other business opportunities. Offerors must be registered with the Cen tral Contractor Registration (CCR) in order to receive a Government contract award. To register, the CCR internet address is: http://www.ccr.gov.
