- Description
- This is a Request For Proposal (RFP) for the construction of the the FY07 Whole Neighborhood Revitalization. The project consists of rehabilitation, renovation and repair of approximately 393individual Officer and Enlisted Family Quarters. The indiv idual quarters are made up of approximately 145 single family residences, 72 duplexes, 18 four-plexes and 4 eight-plexes. The residences were constructed between 1870 and 1963. Residences are wood frame construction. Work includes but is not limited to fr aming and foundation repair, repair and painting of exterior surfaces, window and door rehabilitation, window and door replacement, cabinets/casework, installation of wet type chemical range hood fire suppression systems, roof repair and replacement, insul ation, complete replacement or modification of electrical interior wiring, upgrade/installation of fire sprinkler and alarm systems, upgrade of interior lighting, upgrade of interior communication and telecommunication outlets, replacement of existing over head electric service with underground electrical service, replacement of conventional heating and cooling systems with geothermal heating and cooling systems, removal and replacement of carpet, plumbing, construction of new driveways and carports, pre-cas t concrete underground storm shelters, installation/ replacement of sanitary and storm sewers, light grading and establishment of turf. Special considerations consist of but are not limited to work on historic structures, lead-base paint and asbestos remo val and disposal.
