Description: The NCA Information Services Committee (NCAISC) is seeking assistance with development of a Strategic Information Systems Management Plan (SISMP). NCAISC has been chartered to oversee and manage IM/IT resources and resource utilization throughout th e NCA. The SISMP will be used as a strategic blueprint to guide IM/IT planning efforts for a three to five year period. This is a critical component of our IM/IT efforts in that no such plan currently exists for the NCA; this means that current IM/IT eff orts, although meeting current needs, may not be aligned with the NCAs strategic business objectives and enterprise architecture. Higher authority has directed that Medical Treatment Facilities (MTF) in the NCA to consolidate services and operations unde r one centralized authority in order to bring about better coordination of care and cost reductions. Development and implementation of the SISMP is critical to ensure that IM/IT projects and operations are used effectively and efficiently and are aligned with business goals.
