Description
The Bureau of Engraving and Printing (BEP) is requesting quotations from vendors for pick-up and delivery of the Office of Currency Standards Mail. For example, contractor will be required to pick up registered, certified, and security documents on a daily basis in accordance with the attached Statement of Work (SOW). It is anticipated that the period of performance will be twelve months with (4) twelve month option periods. This procurement is issued under full and open competition. The simplified procedures set forth in FAR Parts 12 and 13 shall be used. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation. This notice constitutes the only solicitation; therefore, a written request for quotation (RFQ) will not be issued. The RFQ number is RFQ-07-0011. The resulting contract will be firm-fixed price. Award decision will be based on past performance and price. All interested vendors are requested to submit a written quotation, which will be considered by the agency. Quotations may be submitted on a Standard Form (SF) 1449 or on a company letterhead. Quotations shall include the RFQ number, the proposed unit price and extended price for the base year and for each option year, any prompt payment discount terms, company name, address, point of contact, phone and fax numbers, tax identification number, DUNS number, and size status (i.e., small business, small disadvantages business, woman-owned business, etc.). If this service is available under General Services Administration (GSA) Schedule, please provide the GSA Schedule Contract number. Offerors must submit with their quote, a detailed plan for securing the cargo in the vehicle from the point of origin through delivery in accordance with the Section X of the statement of work entitled Instructions to Offerors. Quotations are due by September 29, 2006, at 2:00 PM E.T. Quotations may be mailed to the Bureau of Engraving and Printing, Office of Procurement, Attention: Cora L. Greene, 14th and C Streets, S.W., Washington DC 20228-0001 or faxed to 202/874-3135.
