Description

The Social Security Administration (SSA) intends to negotiate solely Anacomp, Inc, 15378 Avenue of Science, San Diego, CA 92128, under the authority provided in Federal Acquisition Regulation 13.106-1(b) as the Contracting Officer has determined that the circumstances of the contract deem only one source reasonably available. SSA wants to continued maintenance and support of the following Proprietary Licensed Software Products: ANQ Model XPF2000 XF23, XFP MOD III and related accessories. Support shall be required for a least one year. These Anacomp software products are currently licensed and installed on mainframe computer systems located in SSA's Metro West Building in Baltimore, MD. The Government anticipates the award of a firm-fixed price purchase order. Written responses to this synopsis shall contain sufficient documentation to establish a bona fide capability to fulfill this requirement. Respond to this notice should be no later than 12:00 p.m. EST September 29, 2006. When responding to this announcement, respondents should refer to 8095. Responses should be emailed to wanda.owens@ssa.gov OR addressed to the Social Security Administration, Office of Acquisition and Grants, Attn: Wanda T. Owens, 7111 Secuirty Blvd, Baltimore, MD, 21244. FAXED RESPONSES WILL NOT BE PERMITTED. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. No contract award will be made on the basis of responses received; however, this information will be used in SSA assessment of capable source. This is not a request for proposal and the Government will not pay for any information submitted or received. If at 12:00 p.m. EST September 29, 2006 and no viable responses have been received in response to the announcement, SSA shall initiate negotiations solely with Anacomp, Inc.
