- Description
- This amendment is issued to re-open the solicitation to include the Government?s minimum requirements for a THERMAL IMAGER CAMERA as follows. The thermal camera requires a minimum detector type of 160 X 120 focal plane array. Camera must contain a visual light digital camera with a minimum of 1280 X 1024 pixels of resolution Full Color. We will be using the Thermal camera to look at electrical equipment throughout the shipyard and aboard naval ships and require as much resolution as possible while still satisfying the remaining minimum requirements specified within this proposal. The Thermal Camera must be capable of exporting the Thermal and Visual images in the following widely accepted formats: JPEG, BMP, PCX, PNG, and PSD. This will allow us to view these images and create reports in widely used software applications. These formats also allow us to send images to anyone for review without requiring custom software to open them. The camera must also be capable of taking a visual reference image and a thermal reference image to properly document electrical faults and must be capable of interlacing the digital and thermal images into a single combined digital and thermal image picture. The minimum on camera system must contain the following operating modes: 1)Full Thermal 2) Full Visual Light 3) Merged Thermal Image and Visual Image (Picture-in-Picture). The cameras that do not have an integrated thermal and digital capture mode are unacceptable. Camera must accept interchangeable Telephoto and Wide angel lenses. Proprietary image formats are not acceptable. Images that must be converted to a standard format are likewise not acceptable for our use. Must have tilt-able viewfinder and built in 5 inch LCD Color Display or larger. The Thermal camera must have at least a Visible Light and Infrared Light (IR) zoom capability of 2x. The Thermal camera must have auto focus and also be able to be focused manually by hand. Camera must run for a minimum of 2 hours on a single battery. Camera must weigh less than 5 lbs. Camera must have a minimum 2 Year factory warranty. Quote closing is re-established for September 29, 2006 at 11:00 A.M. local time. Required delivery is September 30, 2006. QUESTIONS/RESPONSES RELATIVE TO THIS SOLICITATION MAY BE EMAILED TO norma.rogers@navy.mil.
