- Description
- NOAA's Marine Operations Center-Pacific requires a contractor to provide all supervision, material and labor necessary to perform dry dock repairs to NOAA ship HI'IALAKAI, a T-AGOS Class vessel. All work shall be performed at the successful contractor's facility. Performance period is scheduled to commence approximately 16 November 2006 with all work completed no later than 13 February 2007. Contractors shall expect the Notice to Proceed to be issued on 16 November 2006 and shall be prepared to begin the repairs. Repairs and replacements will include, but are not limited to: dry docking, underwater body and equipment inspection, underwater body painting, overhaul of main propulsion generator engine repairs, skim cut of main motor commutators, replacement of the cam shaft, weight testing and weight control. A ship check will be made available between 2-6 October, 2006 in Honolulu, HI. The Government anticipates award of a fixed price contract. Vessel particulars include: Overall Length -224', Beam Molded - 43', Draft Design - 15'0", Displacement 1,489 Tons. All responsible sources may submit a bid for consideration. The Invitation for Bid (IFB) will be issued approximately 22 September 2006. For a copy of the solicitation, you must register on the FedBizOpps (FBO) website to receive notification.
