Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number associated with this combined Synopsis/Solicitation and unrestricted procurement is Request for Quotation (RFQ) HSHQDC-06-Q-00226. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-12. The NAICS Code for this requirement is 334200. The item and quantity are as follows: Remote Control System with High Speed Interface, part number RF-5800R-RC511, quantity 5. The delivery point is the Washington DC, thirty days after receipt of the order. The provision at 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors-Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition. Offerors should submit product literature (or copies thereof) together with their price quotation. In accordance with 52.212-2, the Government will award a contract based upon best value to the responsible offeror whose offer conforming to the solicitation will be most advantageous to the Government, price and other factors considered. Offerors are to include a completed copy of the provision at 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications-Commercial Items, with its quote. The clause at 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions-Commercial Items and 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders-Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition. All questions regarding this solicitation must be submitted in writing and must reference the solicitation number. All quotes must be submitted electronically to ben.branch@dhs.gov by 12:00 p.m. EST on September 13, 2006All quotes shall include the following contractor administrative data: (1) Commercial and Government Entity (CAGE) Code; (2) Data Universal Numbering Systems (DUNS); and (3) Tax Identification Number (TIN). For informational purposes, the justification for the brand name cited above is based upon the need for the remote to be compatible with the Falcon II family of radios, namely, the PRC-117 ManPack Unit-Advanced Multiband Multimission Tactical radio, either in use currently or planned for use by the DHS Operations Center.
