- The Department of Veterans Affairs Miami VA Healthcare System intends to negotiate a contract with a contractor who will assist the VAHCS in changing the culture of patient waiting areas by implementing a video on demand patient channel system to improve patient/staff communication and education with state of the art technology. This acquisition is requesting for a contractor to provide equipment and install the HealthLine Video On-Demand System to all television outlets at the facility. The contractor will use our existing computer network cabling and provide a versatile and expandable platform for signal distribution throughout our hospital and community based outpatient clinics. The desired system is one that has an open architecture to allow for additional channels (SD 4:3 and HD 16:9 signal distribution), services, and expansion as part of a phased implementation. This procurement will be 100% small business set-aside. NAICS Code is 334310 with Size Standard of 750 employees. The electronic solicitation may be downloaded on http://www.bos.oamm.va.gov/cgi-bin/WebObjects/BosPublic.woa. on August 24, 2006. The offeror is responsible for downloading all amendments and other documents from the BOS website without further notices from the Department of Veterans Affairs, Miami VA Healthcare System, Miami, FL.
