Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. Quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation is issued as a request for quote (RFQ). Submit written offers (oral offers will not be accepted), on RFQ Reference No. F2U3556187A200. This solicitation document and provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-12 and Defense Acquisition Circular 91-13. This procurement is being solicited as a small-business set-aside. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 423910, and the size standard of 500 employees applies to this procurement. REQUIREMENTS: Vest, Body Armor, 200 Sets; (sizes to be determined); concealable; Level 3A; with soft trauma plate insert; black 65%/35% polyester/cotton outershell carrier; ballistic panels shall comply with Type IIIA performance for NIJ Standard 0101.04; to include black carry bag with side pouches and carry handle; five (5) year warranty. This requirements package is for the Point Blank Traditional Genesis Model Body Armor with aftermarket modifications which include the 5?X8? soft trauma plate insert, internal supported ballistic panels, replacement shoulder straps attached to the ballistic panels, internal shoulder strap anchor point must be stitched through all layers of ballistics guaranteeing not to sad for the life of the vest, and cumber bun on rear panels. On-site personal sizing and measurements for individual military members is mandatory to ensure best and proper fitting. Any reference to brand name is intended to convey the required characteristics and level of quality and is not meant to be restrictive in nature.
