- Description
- The Air Force, 412 TW, Edwards AFB intends to solicit and award a sole source, Firm-Fixed Price contract, under Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items and FAR 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures, to Flow International Corp., 23500 64th Ave S, Kent, WA 98032-2618. This acquisition is unrestricted. The NAICS code is 333515, FSC/SVC-3455. Size standard 500. The following will be procured: Retrofit and upgrade of a FLOW Dynamic Waterjet System in accordance with Flow International service technical specifications for upgrade of Flow I-4800 Integrated FlyBridge to a Dynamic Waterjet system. The contractor shall be responsible for insuring that after retrofit to Dynamic Waterjet, the Flow machine performs at the original accuracy specifications. Prior coordination with customer in order to obtain necessary access to hangars, machine shop areas and AFB visitor passes is required. Anticipated Award date is 22 Sep 06. However, the Government will consider all responses received within 7 days of the publication of this notice. Contractors interested in this requirement should submit a complete technical package, which provides clear and convincing evidence that they can meet the Government's requirement. In addition, the response should include any special requirements for a commercial contract (i.e., Commercial Financing, Warranty Provisions, Delivery Information, etc.) in accordance with FAR Part 12. A determination by the Government not to compete this acquisition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Facsimile responses are acceptable and must be received on or before the closing date. Telephone requests to be placed on a mailing list will not be honored.
