Description
The Navy has a small purchase requirement for Information Technology technical services. The NAVFAC Engineering Command developed the Public Works Center Management Information System (PWCMIS) to keep track of the financial and production information used by the FECs. DWAS replaced PWCMIS, but does not extend or distribute labor data, which is done by the Labor Management Support Information System (LMSIS). The Micro Computer Data Entry Program (MDEP) provides for different methods for update in LSMIS or DWAS. LMSIS, MDEP and the Legacy Application Migration Database (LAMDB) require technical and interface support in accordance with the government Statement of Work. The Navy requires approximately four (4) man-years of support effort with a man-year equivalent to 2,080 hours to include vacation and leave. The period of performance is for one year. Most of the funding will be provided early in fiscal year 2007. This acquisition is unrestricted. Contract award will be made to the responsible offeror whose proposal is compliant with the solicitation, and is determined to be best value to the government considering technical (resumes), price, and other factors considered. Award will be made under simplified acquisition procedures outlined in FAR Parts 12 and 13. The point of contact is Naomi Melendez, 202-685-8051. The solicitation will be made available the week of 5 September 2006 with closing 12 September 2006. The proposal may be obtained at: http://esol.navfac.navy.mil or upon request. Proposals shall be submitted either by fax at 202-685-1788 with receipt confirmed, or electronically to: naomi.melendez@navy.mil
