- The Naval Sea Systems Command has a requirement for MK 46 Engineering and Technical Support Services (3,120 Hours) for the Government of Japan under FMS Case JA-P-FBM and FMS Case JA-P-FDS. Raytheon Company, Integrated Defense Systems, Keyport, WA is the sole designer and producer of the MK46 Torpedoes and is the only contractor with the expertise and tooling capabilities required to provide the requirement. No other source has the technical qualifications and the necessary resources to perform the work described herein, nor will any other supplies or services satisfy the Navy?s requirements. The contract will be awarded pursuant to 10 U.S.C. 2304 (c) (1), only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements.
