Description

The Social Security Administration (SSA), Region II, intends to negotiate with Stanley Security Solutions, Inc., 350 7 Avenue, New York, NY 10001 on a sole-source basis for the addition of four CCTV cameras and related equipment to the existing system at the Addabbo Federal Building in Queens, New York. These varied components must integrate with existing building design, space and appurtenances established for system repair or modification. Stanley Security Solutions currently maintains the CCTV security system at the Addabbo Building under contract as the subcontractor to Brooks Range Contract Services, SSA's mechanical maintenance contractor. Stanley Security Solutions has performed alterations to the existing system components in the security system and is fully responsible for all aspects of the operation and maintenance of the CCTV security system. SSA intends to negotiate directly with Stanley Security Solutions so as to comply with contractual (Maintenance & Warranty) agreements already in place, and ensure a smooth and rapid response and clear line of accountability for all mechanical breakdowns, thus minimizing disruption to operations, while maintaining limited down time of the CCTV security system. The Government will consider all information from responsible sources that is submitted to the point of contact by close of business on September 18, 2006, but a determination by the Government not to compete this action is solely at the discretion of the Government.
