Description

REQUESTS FOR EXPRESSIONS ? OF - INTEREST * * * CURRENCY RETRIEVAL, TRANSPORTATION, AND DEPOSIT CURRENCY PURCHASE The Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA) is soliciting Expressions-of-Interest for: (1) the Daily Retrieval and Transportation of its Bus Revenues from various Metrobus Garages to WMATA?s Central Counting Facility, (2) the Transportation of its Daily Metrobus and Metrorail Cash Deposits from Central Counting Facility to WMATA?s Depository Bank. Further, WMATA is soliciting Expressions-of-Interest for the Purchase, by weight, of WMATA?s ?Uncounted? Metrobus $1 Paper Currency. This is a market survey (Expressions-of-Interest) not a competitive solicitation. The Due Date for the receipt by WMATA of the Expressions of Interest is September 28, 2006. Expressions-of-Interest should be submitted in electronic form; physical copies are not required. A Pre-Expression of Interest Conference is scheduled for September 18, 2006 at 10:00am at WMATA Headquarters located at 600 Fifth Street, N.W., Washington, D.C. 20001. Be advised that Pre-Registration by September 15, 2006 is required. Registration for the Pre-Expressions of Interest Conference may be made by transmitting an email to Richard W. Beebe, WMATA Office of Procurement, (202) 962-2540, rbeebe@wmata.com . The registration request for the Pre-Expressions of Interest Conference must include (1) the name of business entity, (2) the name of each individual who will attend the Pre-Expressions of Interest Conference, and (3) the telephone number and email address of each individual that will attend the Pre-Expressions of Interest Conference. Any questions concerning the Request for Expressions-of-Interest, including the Scopes-of-Services, should be transmitted by email at least two business days prior to the date of the Pre-Expressions of Interest Conference.
