- This project is for the construction of 2 buildings at 2 separate locations as described below: Building 1, Esterbrook Work Center Engine Storage Building: Construct a 2,933 square foot engineered metal building on a concrete foundation with a slab on grade. Associated work includes interior plumbing, interior electrical, fire sprinkler system, all interior finish work as explained in the specifications. Associated site work includes constructing sewer system (pipe, septic tank, and graveless leach field), connection to site water and electric; concrete work for sidewalk, entrances, and garage approach; landscape rock around building perimeter, installing additional gravel from existing driveway to concrete approach, and installation of snow fence. Location: The project is located in the Laramie Mountains on the Medicine Bow National Forest. The engine garage will be located at the existing Esterbrook Work Center which is approximately 35 miles south east of Douglas, Wyoming off of Converse County Road #5 (Esterbrook Road). Building 2, Saratoga Storage Building and Saratoga Shop Building: Work for this project consists of construction of a 5,000 square foot (Storage Building) and a 2,000 square foot (Shop Building) engineered metal buildings on a concrete foundation with a slab on grade. The 2000 square foot Saratoga Shop Building is an Optional Bid Item that may or may not be awarded. Work also includes a gravel access road and parking area. Site utilities to include water, sewer, electrical and communications. Some of the site utilities are Optional Bid Items that may or may not be awarded. An additional Optional Bid Item will be a 100 feet by 100 feet gravel parking area. Location: These projects are located along the east side of State Highway 130, approximately 0.1 mile south of the city of Saratoga, Wyoming, in T17N, R84IV, S24. The estimated cost of this project including all options is between $1,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00. The NAICS is 236220 and the small business size standard is $28,500,000.00. Solicitation AG-82X9-S-06-0208 will be issued and posted on this web-site on or around 7/3/2006. The solicitation will be set-aside for HUBZone small businesses and any responsible HUBZone small business may submit a proposal which shall be considered by the agency. Proposals from other than HUBZone small businesses will not be considered. The agency anticipates award of a firm-fixed price contract using negotiated, competitive procedures. The estimated award date is August 16 2006 with an estimated start date of August 25, 2006. The period of performance will be 300 days from the notice to proceed.
