- As part of its transformation efforts over the last 18 months, the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) has develop a number of processes that serve as the basis for integrating and balancing Science & Technology (S&T) investments across the near, mid and far term. One of these processes, called Focused Long Term Challenges (FLTC), has produced an integrated plan for achieving the AF S&T Vision of: Anticipate, Find, Fix, Track, Target, Engage, Assess, Anything, Anytime, Anywhere. The products that were developed as part of the plan will provide insight into the eight Focused Long Term Challenges and associated problem statements, technology challenges, attributes and products. This initial set of information will not include attribute/product roadmaps. It is expected that the roadmaps will be available in the Feb/Mar 07 timeframe. Access to the AFRL Focused Long Term Challenge Products is limited to U.S. Contractors. For companies interested in gaining additional insight to the Focused Long Term Challenge Products, request you submit a copy of your companies DD Form 2345. For each person within the company requiring access to the AFRL FLTC information, request you submit a DD Form 2875 (Complete Part 1), AFMC Form 97 or Visit Request containing Security Clearance Information, and Justification Letter. The justification letter should provide rationale for having access to the information. This is not a request for proposal. Response to this special notice is on a voluntary basis and failure to respond will not impact any future acquisition. Please fax completed forms to (937) 656-7321.
