Description
NAVAIRWD seeks comment on the proposed commercial acquisition of wideband receiver technology to replace the existing 4 receiver/demodulator channel RF technology currently utilized in an existing government designed signal processing system. The government objectives in advancing this technology are: to use commercial products to increase the receiver demodulator processing bandwidth from to 24 MHz, increase frequency coverage to 3,000 MHz, increase tuning speed to 50 usec., improve phase noise performance, reduce size of the RF sub-system components to 5 VME slots, reduce the weight to below 10 lbs., reduce power consumption to below 300 Watts, improve reliability by reducing the number of modules in the sub-system, and put plug in replacement components of the subsystem into the hands of users in the field to increase the durability of the subsystem in the field. A DRAFT SOLICITATION ONLY IS BEING POSTED AT THIS TIME. Interested parties should review draft solicitation N68936-06-T-0310 available at this website, and email questions and comments to martha.aldridge@navy.mil or fax to (760 939-9651 attn: Liz Aldridge).
