- This notice serves as a special announcement to disseminate and request information for the BLM FY07 Fall Consolidated Seed Buy. As we are currently operating under a Continuing Resolution, the FY07 budget is unknown and any quantities specified within are neither firm nor guaranteed. The BLM locations including the Regional Seed Warehouse, Boise, Shoshone, Idaho Falls, and Pocatello, ID; Battle Mountain, MT; Elko, Ely, Las Vegas, and Winnemucca, NV; Moab, Cedar City, and Salt Lake City, UT; Craig, CO; and the Arizona Strip (St. George, UT) have a combined need for an estimated 1.6 million pounds of seed. There are six seed types whose estimated quantities are at or exceed approximately 100,000 lbs. These seed types include the following: (1) Vavilov Siberian Wheatgrass (153,350 lbs); (2) Magnar Basin Wildrye (152,000 lbs); (3) Nezpar Indian Ricegrass (97,000 lbs); (4) Bannock Thickspike Wheatgrass (152,000 lbs); (5) Secar Snake River Wheatgrass (217,000 lbs); and (6) Wyoming Big Sagebrush (124,480 lbs). Any estimated PLS or pricing information that interested vendors would like to forecast to the BLM on the 6 seed types mentioned above as well as other seed types previously advertised and available, may be provided to Scott Lambert, the Regional Seed Coordinator, at Scott_Lambert@blm.gov. These estimates will be used for planning purposes once the Budget for Seed has been approved. The estimated milestones for the BLM Fall FY07 Consolidated Seed Buy are as follows: Solicitation posted 10/24/06, Proposal due 11/06/06, Award date 11/17/06, Delivery date on or before 12/08/06.
