Description
This announcement is modified to add information for the Pattern. When requesting a pattern for this item Request Pattern dated April 25,1995. (see instructions for ordering drawings and patterns below) ***NOTE: This notice is NOT a solicitation. The solicitation HAS NOT yet been issued. It will not be issued until after June 16, 2006. Once issued, the solicitation will provide a closing date, 30 days after the issue date.*** RFP SP0100-06-R-0089 is for the manufacture and delivery of Shirt Man’s Short Sleeve Army Green 8405-01-374-8887(s). This item is to be made in accordance with CID A-A-52112. The minimum quantity to be purchased is 144,000 each and a maximum of 240,000 each. One 100% option will be included in the solicitation and it will have the same minimum / maximum ordering quantities. Deliveries are required to be made to Suffolk, Virginia and / or San Joaquin, California starting 120 days after date of award. Inspection and Acceptance will be at Origin. This solicitation is 100% Set-Aside for Small Business Participation. The Government anticipates that multiple awards may be made on this requirement. Best Value Source Selection procedures will be utilized for award evaluation purposes. Technical merit is more important than price in the award evaluation process. The solicitations evaluation factors, in descending order of importance, are as follows: Product Demonstration Model, Experience/Past Performance and DLA Mentoring Business Agreements Plan. Numbered notes 9 and 26 apply. Availability of solicitations, FAR 5.102(d) applies. Our office no longer issues solicitations or amendments in paper form. In the box entitled “Document ID,” type the CID number exactly as it appears and click on “Submit”. Follow the instructions on each page. Click on the most recent edition of the specification. The specification will be in Adobe Acrobat Reader. Important Note on Foreign Content The Defense Appropriations and Authorization Act and other statutes (including what is commonly referred to as “The Berry Amendment” imposes restrictions on the DOD’s acquisition of foreign products and services. Generally, Clothing and Textile items (as defined in DFARS clause 252.225-7012) and “specialty metals” (as defined in DFARS clause 252.225-7014) including the materials and components there of (other than sensors, electronics, or other items added to and not normally associated with clothing), must be grown, reprocessed, reused, melted or produced in the United States, its possessions or Puerto Rico, unless one of the DFARS 225.7002-2 exceptions applies.
