- Description
- The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Technical Operations Communications, ATO-W has a requirement for VHF Air to Ground Communications services in the Gulf of Mexico. In accordance with the FAA Acquisition Management System (AMS) Section 3.2.1.2.1, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is requesting information and seeks interested sources capable of providing VHF Air to Ground communication services in the Gulf of Mexico. The purpose of this Sources Sought announcement is to obtain information about potential sources and/or technologies that can provide direct pilot-to-controller communications in the Gulf of Mexico. The vendor must be capable of providing communications equipment, project and financial oversight, system engineering and logistics during the period of performance which could be one base year with two six-month options. The Statement of Work (SOW) defines the FAA's requirement for the bridge contract to phase out current services to an FAA owned solution. Vendors who believe they can fulfill the requirements of the statement of work must provide a response identifying the approach to supply VHF air/ground communications services identified in the Statement of Work (SOW). The RFI and SOW can be downloaded from http://www.asu.faa.gov/faaco/index.cfm
