- Description
- This sources sought synopsis is published for market research purposes only to identify potential sources interested and capable of providing space control advisory, assistance, and technical support services to HQ Air Force Space Command (AFSPC). The purpose of this contract is to advise and assist HQ AFSPC, Space Superiority Operations Division, (A3C), Space Superiority Requirements Division (A5C), Space Control Plans Division (A8X), Space Control Logistics Division (A4S) and Space Control Intelligence Division (A20) with organizing, training and equipping (OT&E) their Space Control forces. The objective of the contract is to significantly improve AFSPC's warfighting capability to provide freedom of action in space for the Untied States and friendly forces. For more details regarding the requirement, contract history, and acquisition strategy, please see the Statement of Objectives (SOO) dated 8 Sep 06 posted to FBO simultaneously with this sources sought synopsis. See the separate letter dated 8 Sep 06 and posted to FBO simultaneously with this sources sought synopsis for details regarding the 26 through 28 Sep 06 industry day, one-on-one sessions, and small business capabilities briefings. Given the information provided in the SOO, the contracting officer requests your feedback and recommendations regarding the market research questions that will be posted to FBO within the next couple of day. Details about the timing and method of response will be included when the questions are posted. This is only a sources sought synopsis and not a request for proposal. No solicitation is being issues at this time. This notice shall not be construed as a commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation or ultimately award a contract, nor does it restrict the Government to a particular acquisition approach. Any information provided by industry to the Government as a result of this synopsis is voluntary. Responses will not be returned. No entitlements to payment of direct or indirect costs or charges to the Government will arise as a result of contractor submission of responses or Government use of such information. The information obtained from industry responses to this notice may be used in the development of the acquisition strategy and future request for proposal. Air Force Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (AFFARS) clause 5352.201-9101, Ombudsman (Aug 2005), is incorporated into the notice by reference.
