Description

The Veterans Affairs Medical Center (VAMC), Alexandria Louisiana is seeking the services of an Architect or Architect/Engineering firm to design, furnish plans, specifications, and construction period services to renovate In-Patient Pharmacy for U.S. Pharmacopeia 797 (USP 797) requirements. Services includes but are not limited to site investigation, consultations, conceptual designs, plans and specifications, verification of as-built drawings, detailed drawings, accurate cost estimates and construction period services for Renovation of the In-Patient Pharmacy, 3rd floor of Bldg 7, rooms 304, 306, 308, and 310 plus additional rooms 309 and 311 (approximately 1,220 square feet) for pharmacy support space. Work is to include all demolition of existing interior walls, floor finishes, suspended ceilings, doorways, ductwork, casework, medical gas piping, valves, and outlets, etc. Rooms 309 and 311 will be prepared to meet USP 797 requirements for a sterile preparation clean room. A/E selection based on recent specialized experience, professional capacity to accomplish work, professional qualifications of staff and consultants assigned to the project, proposed management plan, cost control, estimating effectiveness, schedule control and location of A/E firm and consultants. Area of consideration is restricted to A/E firms within a 225 mile radius driving distance from 2495 Shreveport Highway, Pineville, Louisiana. This notice issued subject to availability of funds and is not a request for proposal. The estimated construction cost range is $500,000 to $1,000,000.
