Description

Notice of Contract Action for a Sole Source Procurement SUBJECT: NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE PROCUREMENT FOR FIELDVIEW CFD POST-PROCESSING SOFTWARE WITH A ONE YEAR LICENSE AGREEMENT FOR ONE CONCURRENT USER TO INTELLIGENT LIGHT, INC. Edwards Air Force Base, CA intends to award a Sole Source purchase order to Intelligent Light, Inc., 301 Route 17 North, Rutherford, NJ 07070. The Sole Source purchase will be for the following: **IL-FIELDVIEW-A Software License for a single user, including media, documentation and support for SGI IRIX, HP HP-UX, SUN Solaris, IBM AIX, DEC UNIX and Intel under Windows NT/2000/XP/Linux. DELIVERED TO AIR FORCE RESEARCH LAB, EDWARDS AFB, CA **1. Description of Item: A CFD post-processing software that quickly identifies important flow features and characteristics in the simulations. It allows interactive exploration for thorough understanding of the 3D results. It examines and compares cases, extracts critical values and makes compelling presentations. **Please note that this is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all interested parties who believe they can meet the requirements are invited to submit in writing complete information describing their ability to provide the software as detailed above. Information received as a result of this notice will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Air Force not to open the requirement to open competition, based on response to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Air Force. If the office has not received any affirmative written responses by Close of Business (COB), 17 October 06, a Sole Source purchase order will be pursued with Tecplot, Inc., PO Box 52708, Bellevue, WA 98015-2708.
