- Notice of Contract Action for a Sole Source Procurement SUBJECT: NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE PROCUREMENT FOR CFD AND NUMERICAL SIMULATION VISUALIZATION SOFTWARE WITH A ONE YEAR PERPETUAL LICENSE AGREEMENT TO TECPLOT, INC. Edwards Air Force Base, CA intends to award a Sole Source purchase order to Tecplot, Inc., PO Box 52708, Bellevue, WA 98015-2708. The Sole Source purchase will be for the following: **Tecplot 360 Software License for a single user on Windows OS; Perpetual license with 12 months of software maintenance service. DELIVERED TO AIR FORCE RESEARCH LAB, EDWARDS AFB, CA **1. Description of Item: A CFD & numerical simulation visualization software package combining vital engineering plotting with advanced data visualization in one tool. It is used to perform modeling and simulation of the fluid flow in the rocket engines. **Please note that this is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all interested parties who believe they can meet the requirements are invited to submit in writing complete information describing their ability to provide the software as detailed above. A determination by the Air Force not to open the requirement to open competition, based on response to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Air Force. If the office has not received any affirmative written responses by Close of Business (COB), 17 October 06, a Sole Source purchase order will be pursued with Tecplot, Inc., PO Box 52708, Bellevue, WA 98015-2708.
