Size: Round in diameter, 0.5 inch total metal thickness X 5.0 inch outer diameter and a 4.5 inch inner diameter X 1.0 inch height. Form/Fit/Function: This seal seat is located in the fan inlet case in the #1 Bearing compartment between the #1 Bearing and the #1 Carbon Seal. Predominant Material: AMS 5616 SST. Quantity range: 16/ 33/ 50 each. Applicable to: F100/229 Engine. Destn: Tinker Air Force Base Ok 73145-3032. Delivery: Total quantity, 30 Apr 2007. This is a source controlled item. Only sources listed are qualified. Sources must be qualified prior to being considered for award. This item requires engineering source approval by the design control in order to maintain the quality of this item. Qualification requirements are available. The approximate issue date will be 23 Oct 2006. Written procedure will be used for this solicitation. To: Pratt & Whitney, East Hartford, CT (CAGE: 52661). No telephone requests. Award will be made only if the offeror, the product/service, or the manufacturer meets qualification requirements at the time of award in accordance with FAR clause 52.209-1. Award will not be withheld pending qualification of other sources. Potential sources are not to utilize intellectual property of third parties without appropriate authorization of the intellectual property owner. Potential sources are cautioned that no part of the Government qualification requirement is intended to endorse or encourage the improper use of intellectual property developed by the Original Equipment Manufacturer of any other third party. Note: An Ombudsman has been appointed to hear concerns from offerors or potential Offerors during the proposal development phase of this acquisition. The purpose of the Ombudsman is not to diminish the authority of the program director or contracting officer, but to communicate contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate government personnel. When requested, the Ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to source of the concern. The Ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposals or in the source selection process.
