Description: The Department of Defense intends to contract the integration, engineering and logistics support for the Full Rate Production of the Joint Service Light Nuclear Biological Chemical Reconnaissance System (JSLNBCRS) Light Armored Vehicle (LAV) and High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicle (HMMWV) variants. The base quantity will be 16 LAVs, with options for an additional 6 LAVs and 30 HMMWVs. The JSLNBCRS consists of a base vehicle, NBC detection equipment suite, and command and control suite. The b ase vehicles consist of LAVs and HMMWVs, a Life Support System (LSS)and a Power Supply Subsystem (PSS). The NBC detection equipment suite consists of sensors that provide point and standoff detection of NBC agents, as well as a surface sampler, sample col lection subsystem, and internal intercom. The proposed contract effort requires the integration of Government-Furnished NBC Sensors and Communication equipment, and Joint Reconnaissance Applications Software (JRAS) into the Government-Furnished LAVs and H MMWVs. Additional support is also required in the areas of training, logistics, and maintenance. Solicitation/Request for Proposal is planned for release in early November 2006.
