Description

The National Park Service anticipates issuing a Prospectus this winter season for providing medical services in Yellowstone National Park. Since most of the facilities will be inaccessible during the winter season, parties interested in this business opportunity can view the properties during a scheduled site visit on Tuesday, October 24, 2006. The site visit is not required to submit a proposal for the Prospectus, but attendance is encouraged. The operations at Lake Clinic closed September 25 and Old Faithful Clinic closed October 6. Mammoth Clinic is open year round. Access to the closed facilities will be available, although potential bidders will not see the services in operation. No questions specific to the Prospectus will be entertained during the site visit. Questions specific to the Prospectus will be answered after the Prospectus is issued. The site visit will view existing concession facilities and address questions about the existing Concession Contract. As a result of the National Park Service Concessions Management Improvement Act of 1998, the current concessioner does not have a preference in the renewal of its contract. The annual gross receipts for this Concession Contract averaged close to $1.9 million from 2003 through 2005 under the current concessioner.
