- Description
- The Fleet and Industrial Supply Center (FISC), San Diego intends to solicit for Commander Navy Installations, Public Safety Directorate, Safety Division, support for the Traffic Safety/Recreational & Off-Duty Safety Program (RODS). The contractor shall provide qualified instructors and other personnel to deliver professional training and training support, support for management and coordination of the region-wide program, including education, training, instructions and communications. Specialists/instructors shall be certified and knowledgeable in driver improvement, Emergency Vehicle Operators Course (EVOC), motorcycle, all-terrain vehicle (ATV), off-road vehicle, and other motorized vehicle safety and experienced instructors. Contractor shall provide all support necessary for implementation of a Navy-wide Traffic Safety/RODS Program that includes: support for management and coordination of regional programs, education and training, development of regional and installation Traffic Safety/RODS program instructions and standard operating procedures, communications support (posters, brochures, A/V support, etc); and inspection of Morale, Welfare and Recreation (MRW) facilities.. The Traffic Safety/RODS program will be centrally coordinated, but managed and implemented at the region level, and applies to eight Continental United States (CONUS) regions including Hawaii. It is anticipated that the solicitation will be issued on or about November 3, 2006, with an estimated solicitation closing date of December 4, 2006. The solicitation and any amendments will be available to interested parties via the NECO website: www.neco.navy.mil. No hard copies of the solicitation or amendments will be issued. It is the responsibility of interested parties to frequently monitor this web site for updates and new listings. The contract will be a requirements contract. Task orders may be issued on a firm fixed price or time and material basis. The base period of performance will be from approximately January 23, 20 07 through September 30, 2007, with two one-year options periods. This acquisition will be conducted as an unrestricted procurement under North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) 611692, which establishes a small business size standard of $6.5 million.
